I caught these Canadian Geese just taking flight off the Battle Creek River near Charlotte, Michigan early in the morning this February (2012). Just love the blue of the water and gold of the grasses in this winter where we have had little snow.
I grew up in south central Michigan, mostly country girl. I loved animals, nature, and talked to God as I walked through woods and fields. My love of art began young, encouraged by my mother, who is also an artist and photographer. Jr and Sr High were wonderful places of encouragement for me in art,photography and writing with teachers who gave me freedom to create. I am amazed now as I look back -- freedom and materials -- how blessed I was. In 1971 my family and I moved to Idaho and lived there for over 20 years. Idaho's beautiful mountains and deserts still inspire me. I enjoyed being part of the guild in Wendell, Idaho.
